Service
Students and faculty are encouraged to uphold the Church’s mission of social justice by reaching out to the local community through annual service projects. Each year, the school adopts a service project that teaches our students the importance of reaching out to the greater community. Projects have included annual food and clothing drives, collection of items for those in the local shelters, Toys for Tots, Used Toy Drive for St. Paul’s Center, Operation Rice Bowl (Catholic Relief Services), and most recently Pat’s Coats for Kids. In addition, throughout the school year, smaller service projects may be adopted by a class or a grade level. An example of a smaller project would include Valentines for Veterans.
Service hours are required as a part of the Religion classes in 7th and 8th grades. Students perform community, school, or church service for two hours each nine weeks.
